From drawing to playing

How do you prepare your treasure hunt?

  1. Choose recognisable landmarks. Select suggested places the children can find in your home: an empty basket, a cushion or a marked book. Stops appear in the chosen order, with the treasure in a separate hiding place. The map illustrates your route; the drawn positions do not represent a floor plan to scale.
  2. Print both PDF pages. The personalised PDF contains the map to give to the children, followed by a preparation sheet that stays with the grown-up. Choose A4 paper and actual size in your print settings. The PNG contains the map only.
  3. Set up the stops before the crew arrives. Put your clues or envelopes in the chosen order and walk through the route. Use easy-to-reach places with no climbing, in an area where you can stay with the group. This map arranges the places; prepare your game’s puzzles and instructions separately.

Can I print a blank treasure map?

Yes. The blank version is a one-page A4 map without your route’s names or numbers, or a grown-up sheet. Fill in the landmarks and path by hand with the children or while preparing the game.

Is this map free?

Yes. Creating and downloading the map is free, with no account or payment. Complete Studio Cachette adventures are separate paid products, with their contents and prices shown on their pages.

Where are names and hiding places saved?

Your map details and file generation stay in your browser during this visit. We do not save them on our server. Reloading clears your changes; downloaded files remain on your device.

Can I use the map with a Studio Cachette kit?

This original illustration can show the places you have chosen at home. When playing a kit, keep its puzzles, game map to rebuild, answers and final mission, and follow its grown-up guide. This personalised map is an extra reference for your preparation.
